CM 2007

I'm now here at Busan, here for the Leadership Conference held before at Bexco.
Went to Incheon airport this morning and met with the other foreigners before coming down to Busan together.

Arrive at the airport at 8.30am. At the counter I saw Malaysia CCC team members, 19 of them from Sabah and Sarawak, who flew in from KK on the 27.

Then about an hour later met up with the other MCCC people who flew in from KL. there were all in all 153 of them. I never knew that Malaysia has so many CCC members and I never thought that so many of them would actually make it here to Korea. Praise be to God who brought them here safely and may He continue to be with them that they may have a blessed them here for the next whole week.

Checked into our room at around 7.30pm. Seoul Sourthen District CCC memebers will be staying at Grand Hotel.

Mine's a standard room. But instead of a twin bed we have 2 single beds. It looks quite nice in this photo and it is indeed quite nice. But imagine squeezing 6~8 people in it.......

STMT After

Short Term Mission Trip After, meaning gatherings after our short term mission trip.

As our team that went to Japan was made up of students from different campuses, we (Korean students) usually have STMT After.

We had our gathering at Cheonan, a city about 2 hours by subway from Seoul. It was great to see everyone after the STMT^^

DYTC 06/07 Committee Member

On Sep 9, we officially become the Committee Members of our campus CCC. Usually 2nd-4th year students are selected to be Committee Members of their campus' CCC, but due to our campus situation (most of the courses are 2 years course), 1st year students are elected to be Committee Members.

I had been looking forward to it, being the 1st Malaysian student in Korea Campus Crusade for Christ^^ I was eagerly looking forward to this moment. Hoping that I can bring some change to our Campus, waiting and praying for our juniors that will be coming in next year, carrying out all the program es and events in our Campus etc...

Soon Camp

From August 7-8, we had a Soon Camp. Here at Southern Seoul District CCC, we have Soon Camp every summer. Soon, which means a sprout/a shoot/ a bud is a term use in CCC. It's something like the concept of cell and cell group.

We went to Incheon CCC headquarters and spent a night there. On the second day, we went to Incheon beach.
(Praying for 2 of our brothers, one because it's his birthday, another because he's going to the military)

(Taken at the beach all 06 hakbon [entered uni in 2006] )

STMT Japan

From 7/11-22,
I went to Japan on a short term mission trip.

Actually I was planning to go to China with my friends this summer...
But after thinking it for a while...this might be my only chance of going on a STMT....

At first I wanted to go with my church to Ukraine and Russia because it's cheper...but the problem was that I don't know the language. So after some consideration, I signed up for a STMT to China (through CCC)
However..it seems that China wasn't God's plan for me...so in the end I ended up going to Japan..

Japan's Christian is less than 1% of it's population...yet seing their passion and love for God, I'm quite ashame of myself...
Furthermore, the Japanes Christian (like the Korean Chirstian) has a vision of evangelizing to all their race..
Well of course I have the heart to reach out to my fellow M'sian as well, but the race barrier seems to be something that's keeping us M'sian Christian back...

Back to my trip..
the whole trip was good....we went to Hokkaido, visited two cities - Sapporo and Hakodate.
We stayed at Hitzejikaoka Church-- meaning hill of the lamb..
Visited an old folk's home nearby and held a performance there..
We joined all the service and gathering held by the church during our stay - dawn prayer meeting, ladies fellowship, wednesday prayer meeting, sunday school etc...
The members of the church was very nice to us..brought us out to eat and invited us to their homes.
The pastor also brought us to a few tourist spot near the area.
And on the last night, we held a Korean night. Cooked some Korean dish and had a few performances.

Campus Mission 2006

Held from 6/26-30 ,
It's a summer conference held my CCC (Campus Crusade for Chirst).
About 10,000++ students attended the conference. 8000 from Korea and 2,3000 from USA, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, UK etc
We had morning gatherings (praise and worship and usually talk by CCC worker/staff), then we go to different rooms and have lessons on LTC (Leadership Training Course)- about how to share our faith with others using the Four Spiritual Laws.
We had 2 special class than we can choose-- there were a lot of choices, and the two classes I chose was New Testament and Islam.
Then we had rallies at night.

few of us in the room

We cook our own lunch and dinner

Raw materials~

The small gatherings are held in the rooms~

Christian Student

^^
Haven blogged for a long time....had some interesting things that came up the past 2 months, but was either too busy managing my cyworld or was rushing my report or playing lineage, which I plan to stop playing from now on...

As mentioned in my previous post, I joined CCC, which I'm glad I did. It's helps me stay connected with God and my fellow brothers and sister in Campus.
Am attending the morning group devotion (though they call it prayer meeting, it seems more like a group Quite Time to me^^)
Went on Campus Evangelism once, but wasn't prepared yet....but have decided to join the Evangelism group~

Had my mid-term exam 2,3 weeks ago. It wasn't as hard as I had expected (except for one subject), and haven did any revision or study after the exam.
Like what my seniors says, studying a week before the exam is sufficient (with a few exceptions of course~)
However, though we don't have to study that much, I have lots of assignments to do every. 2 reports to write each week. And it takes me 4-5 hours to complete one.....
Because of this have been sleeping 5hours a day for the past whole week....

One thing that come into my mind quite often these few days is my role as a student and a Christian....
Well, as a student we attend lectures, 3-6 hours a day, we spend another few hours doing our assignments and projects, and during exam period we spend more that 10 hours a day studying.....to most of us students, that's just something logical and natural to do...and I think I'm being quite sucessful as a student (in Dong Yang Technical College that is^^)

But when I consider my role as a Christian, my heart is hurt....aren't we suppose to be seekers of God? Isn't God the most important person in our lives? Haven't we dedicated our lifes to God? Haven't we say that we'll live for God?
Yet the time I spend with God, the time I spend reading His word; the time I spend praying; the time I spent sharing Jesus with my friend, is less that half the time I spent studying....

Is not God the centre of my life?.....
How can such a life be called Christ centred?

I'm in a lost....
I just feel that I've failed being a Christian.....
